Rachel Collinson knows a lot about how non-profit organisations and charities can improve their fundraising and campaigning — but she only shares some of it in this short book. This is understandable because she earns her living showing charities how to do precisely that and if she put everything she knew into a book, there goes the day job. So it made frustrating reading for me, and there were quite a few teasers in the book about how we will be shown this or that which will dramatically improve results … but it felt as if those ‘secrets’ never came. Having said all that, she does write well, and for anyone new to the ‘business’ of trying to change the world, this will be a useful book.
