Review: Smart Brevity: The Power of Saying More with Less, by Jim VandeHei, Mike Allen, and Roy Schwartz

Write shorter sentences. Use one syllable words where possible. That’s the message of this short book, which is padded with lots of empty space, some forgettable graphics and endless advertising for the authors’ software which will make you a better writer and person, and your company will do really well too. (Much of the book reads like it was written by a machine.) Strunk and White said it better decades ago, and they weren’t trying to market anything else. There — I’ve just saved you $27.00.
