Censored by corporations? Use the net!
Monday, August 7th, 2006A few weeks ago, union-backed campaigners managed to get a billboard erected not far from the corporate headquarters of Wal-Mart, the world’s largest employer. The ad called upon Wal-Mart management to recognize workers’ rights — and was promptly taken down once company officials spotted it. Unions raged that it was a violation of their constitutional right to free speech, but you sort of expect this kind of thing to happen in Bentonville, Arkansas.
