First of all, that’s a great title for a spy thriller. But “Red Widow” is not a great spy thriller. Having spent many hours reading it, I don’t see the point of the story. Not all that much actually happens. There is a sequel and quite a few loose ends but the characters didn’t feel real, there was no almost no sense of menace and the CIA described here — from the pre-Trump era — almost certainly doesn’t exist anymore (if it ever did). Not recommended.
