“Israel is the cause of all suffering”

“Their suffering is continuing, and that it is unacceptable. Everyday there are Palestinians arrested, imprisoned for no reason. People are killed on a daily basis. The economic suffering is terrible … absolute despair after nearly 40 years of Israeli occupation which has been supported by the West. … the British worked to bring about the state of Israel, which is the cause of all the suffering of … the Palestinian people.”
From a resolution passed by a British trade union condemning Israel and calling for a boycott?
Not exactly.

  1. The poor guy is fearful for his life – he has no choice but to say whatever his captors demand.

  2. Precisely! With a gun pointed at his head, a gun in the hands of Al Qa’eda fanatics, saying what they want him to say, poor Alan is saying nothing more extreme than what is being said today in polite society in Britain.
Things have really gotte that bad here.

Abba Eban said” The Palestinians never miss an oppourtunity to miss an opurtunity”
Thr corroup Palestinian so called “leadership” has been the cause of a lot (most) of the suffering of the Paletinian “man in the street” NOTHING (I have been on the ground there and seen it with my own eyes) of the BILLIONS they have recieved has gotten to the down trodden man in the street – but Sua Arrafat lives in an expensive apartment on the Champs Elysee and is fighting for her share of the BILLIONS of dollars Yasser Arafat left when he died!!!
Yes there are two sides to this coin and surely Israel has to take a share of the blame for the plight of the PALESTINIANS but they (the Palestinian leadership) has NEVER done their part over the last 100 years war to alleviate the situation.

  4. Most people in Britain do not support the Palestinian position that Israel should not exist and would not accept that what Johnstone was forced to say reflects the reality of the situation in the Middle East, but many feel that Israel regularly over-reacts to provocation, uses excessive force, and makes little effort to prevent the development of the illegal Jewish settlements.
